Ingrid Bodøgaard (born 6 December 1954 in Bodø) is a Norwegian textile artist. She graduated from the Norwegian School of Crafts and Design with a major in fabric printing from 1977. She has worked with fabric printing in various sizes, but in recent years has increasingly worked more in the large formats. In her rugs we often find elements from nature, often used in a decorative and repetitive way.
She studied under Inger Gullbrandsen, Gro Jessen and Turid Holter, among others. She has later studied fabric printing techniques in India, Japan, North Africa and Turkey. She is a member of Norwegian Artisans, and has held a number of professional positions, including a member of the Norwegian Cultural Council (section for handicrafts).
Ingrid Bodøgaard has had several solo exhibitions and participated in regional and national group and group exhibitions in Norway and Scandinavia. Her work has been purchased for public decorations and collections, including Nordenfjeldske Kunstindustrimuseum, Trondheim.
